About the Journal

Themis Journal, the official publication of the Ceará State School of Magistracy (Esmec), was created in 1997 and all its issues can be fully accessed on the journal’s website.

The print version of the journal has the ISSN 1808-6470.

The journal also has an electronic version since 2015 (e-ISSN no. 2525-5096) [http://revistathemis.tjce.jus.br/index.php/THEMIS/], and its editorial scope includes topics related to “Justice, Public Administration, Human Rights, Education, and Public Policies.”

It was classified in the Qualis A3 stratum in the most recent four-year evaluation (2017–2020) conducted by CAPES. It receives manuscript submissions on a rolling basis, and its contents are available in full and free of charge on the internet.

Average time between submission and publication of scientific articles

Understanding this timeframe is essential for researchers aiming to disseminate their work as well as for institutions that monitor scientific production. The 24-week average reflects a balance between scientific rigor and editorial efficiency, demonstrating a commitment to quality without compromising the speed of knowledge dissemination.

There are no fees for article submission, publication, access, or reading. Searching published articles is also free, with open access to both abstracts and full texts.

Themis Journal is indexed in: Latindex, Diadorim, Google Scholar, Livre, Qualis Capes, EZB, LatinREV, Road, Zeitschriften Datenbank, WorldCat, Ibict, and Crossref.

The journal’s Editor-in-Chief is Judge Marcelo Roseno de Oliveira, and the Associate Editor is Flávio José Moreira Gonçalves, both PhDs and university professors in undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

A Revista Themis, periódico científico da Escola Superior da Magistratura do Estado do Ceará (Esmec), divulgou os artigos selecionados para compor a edição correspondente ao volume 24, número 2, referente ao período de julho a dezembro de 2026. Ao todo, dez trabalhos foram aprovados após passarem pelo rigoroso sistema “duplo cego” (double blind review), método que assegura a qualidade científica, a imparcialidade e a excelência acadêmica das publicações.
