REFLECTIONS ON THE DEFINITIVENESS OF THE LIST OF SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA

Abstract

This article will present reflections on the possibility of expanding the list of personal data called sensitive by the General Data Protection Law. To do so, initially, the evolution of privacy and the protection of personal data will be presented, in order to promote the introduction of content to the reader. Afterwards, brief notions between personal data and sensitive personal data will be addressed, making the respective differentiation. In the end, an approach will be taken in order to analyze whether the list of sensitive personal data provided for by the General Data Protection Law is subject to expansio`n.

Mestrando do Programa de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu em Direito da Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau (FURB).
