A ARBITRAGEM COMO ALTERNATIVA PARA A RESOLUÇÃO DE CONFLITOS AMBIENTAIS NO BRASIL

Considering that environmental conflicts brought to the justice system often proceed very slowly and that resolution requires greater speed for their solution, this study seeks to understand whether there is internal legal support and an international basis for arbitration to be used. as an alternative for resolving environmental conflicts in brazil. Therefore, it has the general objective of investigating whether arbitration can be applied to environmental issues in Brazilian territory, since this country has signed international agreements and treaties for the application of the institute in demands that involve the environment. The method used for the development of this study is the deductive and the approach will be the bibliographic, with research in works, articles, legal documents. In the end, as a result of the study, there is a legal provision to apply the arbitration institute in environmental demands in Brazil, in the same way as it occurs internationally, according to protocols and international conventions.
