During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Judiciary needed to be the protagnonist of important decisions in the fight against the vírus, while organizing internally to implement the home office as a measure of social distance. To continue the work of guaranteeing rights and promoting social peace, Courts across the country have adopted new ways to communicate and remain accessible, especially to the most vulnerable. In this way, the use of new technologies has become fundamental to serve different audiences. This article intends to analyze how Brazilian state Courts communicated in the first months of the pandemic, using social media as the main strategy for disseminating information to society. To identify the issues addressed and promote reflexions on the public objective of Justice, the methodology of content analysis was used to analyze posts from five state Courts on Instagram, based on five thematic categories. Among the conclusions, it appears that the Judiciary sought to comply with the best communication practices defined by international study centers and the National Concil of Justice, and that digital media, due to their versatility and rapid dissemination, were able to unify the discourse on the pandemic in the national sphere.
