Abstract

With a comparative and philosophical methodology, also using the theory of autopoietic social systems, it is speculated about the possibility of artifacts endowed with artificial intelligence (AI) to acquire new capabilities, making them an instrument for advancing what is qualified here as cyberenslavement. This creates the risk of social autoimmunity, which happens when what should defend us end up attacking ourselves. Conjecture is also being advanced about the emergence of an option based on worldviews from the Global South, which are free from coloniality.
